We take the work seriously. We just do not believe payments professionals have to act like old-school bankers to earn credibility.

Mentom Payments announced that President Jordan Stewart and SVP of Sales Alexis Lichterman would represent the company at the Midwest Acquirers Association conference in Chicago on July 21–22, 2026.

The trip created an opportunity to reconnect with existing partners, meet independent sales professionals and ISO leaders, and contribute to a broader conversation about how payment organizations can scale without losing service quality or operational discipline.

Growth gets smarter when operators share what is actually working.

Regional acquiring conferences create a practical forum for the people closest to merchants: agents, ISOs, processors, banks, technology providers, and the operational teams responsible for turning a sale into a durable account.

For Mentom, attending MWAA is an extension of the partner model. It creates space to discuss onboarding speed, portfolio support, pricing strategy, risk expectations, technology, and the operational infrastructure partners need as they move from individual production toward a more scalable organization.

Alexis also joined a panel focused on Scaling Smart. The session examined the progression from agent office to wholesale ISO and from ISO to larger distribution models—along with the decisions, systems, and relationships required at each stage.

01

Listen to operators

Understand the obstacles agents and ISO owners are seeing in the field, from onboarding friction to portfolio support.

03

Build the next relationship

Create room for a candid conversation about where a partner is today and what the next stage requires.

WHY EVENTS MATTERShow up prepared. Share what is working. Ask better questions. Have a little fun with people who care about the industry as much as we do.

Four questions every growing ISO eventually faces.

Scaling is not one decision. It is a sequence of choices about positioning, people, technology, and responsibility.

01

Where do we compete?

Define the merchants, industries, pricing models, and sales motion where the organization can create a real advantage.

02

What should we own?

Decide which parts of sales, support, onboarding, risk coordination, and portfolio management belong inside the organization.

03

What must scale first?

Build processes and technology before volume exposes the gaps in handoffs, reporting, or merchant communication.

04

Who grows with us?

Choose acquiring relationships that can support the present model and the next stage of the business.

The relationships get better when the people behind them are real.

MWAA gave Mentom another opportunity to stay close to the acquiring community—and to represent the kind of company we are building: smart, current, accessible, and comfortable bringing some personality into a highly regulated industry.

Whether the next step is a stronger referral relationship, a full ISO/Agent model, or the infrastructure behind a growing payments office, Mentom’s partner team is ready to talk through the path.
